Organise activities in partnership with others: Resident
BINTULU: Artistes and related organisations here were yesterday urged to work out a collaboration and partnership with other quarters if they want to organise events or activities successfully.
Bintulu Resident Dr Razali Abon said such partnership would enable them to use their financial and physical resources prudently while maximising the allocation they had for more activities.
He said this when officiating at the closing of ‘Rakan Muda Seni Budaya (Pemantapan Diri-Tari)’ workshop jointly organised by Bintulu Sports and Youth Office and Bintulu Social Development and Urbanisation Ministry (KPSU) office here.
Twenty-six Rakan Muda members took part in the three-day workshop which was conducted by Tuah Jili.
According to Razali, a good example or resourcefulness, creativity and innovativeness could be seen from the way the Resident’s Office managed to organise 142 activities throughout last year with limited or even zero budget or allocation.
“We managed to hold various activities because of our joint efforts with other agencies and organisations,” he said, adding that inter-agency networking hi-tea was an example of a programme with zero cost because it was held in partnership with other agencies.
He also welcomed any effort from individuals or organisations to expand the popularity of arts performance here.
