Dayaks urged to remain united to achieve progress
BINTULU: Dayaks in the state were Sunday urged to remain united and work together to achieve more progress and development.
Kemena assemblyman Dr Stephen Rundi in giving this reminder said that being united would also enable them to face the many challenges brought about by modernisation.
He said this when officiating at the divisional Gawai Dayak celebration organised by the local branch of Sarakup Indu Dayak Sarawak (SIDS) at the civic centre.
He also told the community to continue to improve their livng standard by getting their children to achieve the highest level of education.
And with Sarawak Corridor of Renewable Energy (SCORE) set for implementation, job opportutnities would be plentiful.
Meanwhile, members’s children who did very well in public examination last year were given incentive awards.
Jepak assemblyman Datuk Talib Zulpilip, Resident Ismail Mohd Hanis and Bintulu Development Authority general manager Mohidin Ishak were among those present at the dinner.
